Gracias por haber traído en excelentes condiciones a tus pasajeros de IRON MAIDEN a Colombia. Por regalarnos un día maravilloso de heavy metal a todos tus fans el 28 de febrero de este año y ser como los que te seguimos: Un caballero del rock inglés. Ayer en la noche le contaba a una gran mujer a quien quiero, consiento y respeto mucho que hoy iba a darte una sorpresa y así es. En este mensaje puedes leer la reseña de IRON MAIDEN en Colombia. HE AQUÍ LA RESEÑA DE IRON MAIDEN EN BOGOTÁ:
IRON MAIDEN hizo historia en Bogotá. Para muchos será recordado como el concierto más grande de todos los tiempos realizado en Colombia por la puesta en escena de la banda, la escenografía, el carisma de sus músicos y la entrega de de un público que por fin después d etanto esperar pudo vivir con intensidad y emoción, el show de la doncella de hierro. Con Bruce Dickinson en su mejor momento y ni hablar de Steve Harris, Adrian Smith, Dave Murray, Nicko Mc Brain y un inspirado Janick Robert Gers quien se dio el lujo de hacer múltiples piruetas con su guitarra mientras tocaba.
INTROSPECCIÓN cumplió con su cometido de dejar una grata impresión en la tarima aunque el repertorio fue apenas de dos canciones. Aceptable para este servidor. Sobre Lauren Harris, es la fina estampa de su progenitor por la energía que transmite en vivo con unos excelentes músicos quienes son: el guitarrista Richie Faulkner, el batería Tom McWilliams y el bajista Randy Gregg. Sin embargo, el género de la artista fue lejano al heavy metal de IRON MAIDEN y al power metal de INTROSPECCIÓN. De todas formas se notó que ya el público colombiano asiente sobre las diversas expresiones del rock por los aplausos y la química que tuvo con Lauren durante su turno. Un hard rock bien hecho que daba paso a la leyenda de Eddie y sus seis guerreros con el discurso de Winston Churchill y las imágenes en las pantallas de video del avión de la agrupación británica arribando a importantes ciudades del mundo, entre ellas Alaska. Como si se tratara de una evocación al “Live After Death” arrancaron con “Aces High”, “2 minutes to midnight”, “The trooper” con Mr Dickinson izando la bandera de su patria natal en veloces carreras por el escenario y luego sorprendido con sus compañeros por el tamaño de una bandera colombiana de casi treinta metros de largo con el nombre de la banda que seguramente quedará para la posteridad en el próximo dvd de la doncella.
Otros importantes clásicos como: “Revelations”, “Wasted Years”, “Moonchild”, “Iron Maiden”, “Can I play with madness”, “Heaven can wait”, “Run to the hills”, “Fear of the dark”, “Powerslave” y “The number of the beast” impactaron a un público ávido de metal que no paró nunca de corear a la banda con el conocido Oe! Oe! Oe! Oe! Maiden! Maiden!
Diferentes vestuarios del vocalista, entre ellos el del anciano marinero, al interpreter el tema “The rime of the ancient mariner” con los sonidos de un barco fantasma, sumados después a la presencia en tarima de un androide gigante, con la evocación de Eddie en el álbum “Somewhere in time” y los majestuosos telares d elas catacumbas egipcias con Anubis, dios de los muertos como su fiel guardián detrás del escenario llevaron a la locura a miles de seguidores que nunca olvidarán la grandeza de esta noche. Porque simplemente IRON MAIDEN fue majestuoso en Bogotá.
